Lindsey Hersey

Lindsey Hersey started her dance training in Longmont, Colorado studying jazz, tap, ballet, and modern. In 1999 Lindsey traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for the Jazz Dance World Congress, where she attended master jazz classes with Gus Giordano. She continued her training at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she was awarded the Jamie Kellam Redmond scholarship and seven University Dance Awards for excellence in dance. Lindsey graduated from CU with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance. Her choreography has been described as energetic, joyful and passionate. She recently appeared in the DanceTreading workout video, and can also be seen teaching these workout classes in Longmont. Lindsey recently returned from Crested Butte Colorado where she taught for the second consecutive year at the 21 day Jazz and Tap intensive workshop, Dansummer. Lindsey currently teaches jazz, tap and ballet for children, teens and adults. She also choreographs for the Starbound Dance Company, where her choreography has won several first place awards. Lindsey feels fortunate having discovered her love of dance at such a young age. Now she tries to ignite a fire for the love of this art form in all of her students.
