Eleni Grove

Eleni’s love of dance began at age three. She recently graduated from Denison University, in Granville, Ohio, with a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology and a minor in Dance. At Denison, she completed a year-long research project that examined the conflicting portrayals of sexuality in ballet, investigating whether dancers and companies are set by expectations of audiences and therefore struggle to perform both their art and their identity. While conducting her research, she worked closely with BalletMet in Columbus, OH, and was drawn into the world of arts administration. An internship with the Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, Colorado solidified that interest. Through her love of dance and the critical thinking skills she acquired in Sociology and Anthropology she hopes to find her niche in the world of arts administration.
